I lead a team of eight analysts selecting stocks and building pitches on a five-year horizon. Our selections returned 20.7% on a weighted annualised basis, beating the S&P financial index by 10.3% over the same period. I also refined how the team works — introducing DuPont analysis and Altman’s Z-score into our financial and sensitivity work, so a recommendation had to survive more than one lens before it reached a pitch.

Built decks and pitched investment ideas to investors from Rothschild & Co. Valuation work spanned DCF, market multiples and precedent transaction analysis. On the ESG side I assessed MSCI ESG-risk ratings and benchmarked litigation history, environmental initiatives and workforce diversity against peers.

ShadeTree Investment Project

Pitched an investment on a twenty-five year horizon and secured £7,500 in funding. The work rested on macroeconomic analysis and Monte Carlo simulation to forecast long-run growth — a useful lesson in how quickly confidence intervals widen once you look far enough ahead.
